Conceptually, not quite as interesting to me as What If?, but still brainy, oddball fun. The kind of book you think you're going to dip in and out of, but then end up reading for surprisingly sustained periods.

Delightfully fun non-fiction book that dismisses the obvious solution to common problems like how to move and how to throw things to figure out well, how to optimize it as best you can using physics and statistics.

This book is frequently funny and charming, and the science is usually broken down into bite-sized pieces for an average reader. Sometimes, it does get a little science heavy, and sometimes, there's absolutely no science at all. For me, a little more consistency between the two throughout the book would be an improvement.
I was laughing at this and read some of it to my nine year old, and she is absolutely in love with it. We are now reading this as a bedtime story. How cool is that?
