I picked this up randomly at my library and I'm so glad. I loved the art and the way that the story was presented. I've been through a lot of familial grief, and I really related to the main character.

October 2023. A strange but heartfelt meditation on grieving a lost parent, using art to process, and the power of art to choose what and how we want to remember someone.

Really enjoyed this and appreciated the surreal elements used. Still need to read their big series Chainsaw Man, but glad I took a dip into their standalone work with this and “Look Back.”

Borrowed in physical form from Sacramento Public Library, as always I am amazed and delighted by the depth and breadth of their manga selection.

“Goodbye, Eri” by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
