At the start of this story S'renaty James suffers a traumatic event which totally changes her life. In the aftermath she is shunned by her so called friends, rejected by the person closest to her, and made to feel that she is to blame for everything.

Several years later, after a lot of therapy, S'renaty, or Ren as she prefers to be called, finally feels able to move on with her life and starts college full of positive thoughts. She is looking forward to starting afresh and leaving the bad memories from the past behind her.

Into her life steps Stefan, and throws all of her plans into disarray. Stefan makes it clear, almost from the outset, that he likes Ren, but she is having none of it. But over time Stefan manages to work his way into Ren's heart.

"Tomorrow may still be a mystery, but today is unraveling, slowly. It's like opening a gift, and one I have every intention of treating with care...unwrapping it gently to savor it's blessing. Here is to the present; to us!"

However, even as she gives her heart to him, the reader discovers that Stefan is hiding something. A secret so huge it will break Ren's heart once again if it ever comes out.

And of course it does come out, in the aftermath to yet another shocking event. Ren is left devastated for the second time in her life, and has to deal with the repercussions once again.

This is a very well written story which will draw you in very quickly as you read Ren's story and share her emotions. The journey she takes within its pages really held my attention
