This one was a lot of fun. It definitely had a Soapy feel. I really enjoyed the audiobook and am looking forward to book 2. The male narrator and some of the male dialogue grated on my nerves and that’s the one of the reasons this wasn’t a 5 star for me. It wasn’t just one of the male characters, but all of them at times. Certain things the author had them say was just like really they sound stupid and cringy

Exciting

Kept me guessing and enjoyed the development between MCs the shock after shock and cliffhanger. I’m very interested to see where it goes from here!

5 stars

This is probably my favorite bully romance I’ve read recently. It had a lot of the cliches of this type of book, yet at the same time was completely unique. Such a strange dichotomy, I know. I really liked Abigail. I love that she wasn’t a pushover or some self righteous do-gooder. She did what needed to be done. I can’t wait for the next book.

Let me start by saying this book is very different from my usual fare. I generally avoid YA and high school stories because those stories feel weird to me. I honestly only gave it a shot because of the title (the Reese-Ryan movie is one of my all-time faves), which is unusual for me but I’m so glad I gave this series a chance. This was also my first bully romance and by far the darkest thing I’ve ever read under the romance banner. It really had all the hallmarks of something I was going to drop about three chapters in, but I was obsessed with this story.

I can’t even really explain what spurred the initial interest because this story is weird but I was hooked from the beginning. Abby isn’t all that likable at first although to be fair, nobody is in the beginning of this story. They’re a bunch of spoiled rich jerks torturing each other for sport so not very sympathetic. But as I slowly learned the horrors of Abby’s life, I just wanted to see her kicking everyone’s ass. This was a nail-biter for me because I didn’t know what to expect. Sometimes you get happily ever after and other times the hero dies and the monster gets the heroine so I had concerns.

There were some slow parts but the pacing is good overall and that’s important here because there’s a metric shit ton of stuff going on in this book so there’s no time to waste. Once or twice, I even had to scroll back to re-read an earlier section because I stayed up way too late reading and couldn’t keep it all straight in my head. Abby lives in a bizarre world of elite families that rule everything and her life is pre-planned.

She’s only in high school but is already engaged to some complete dick because that’s how things are done when you’re elite. This is one of those stories where it’s tough to tell who the enemy is at times. You’ll hate everyone at some point but some of the characters do end up having redeeming qualities and you’ll fall in love with a few of them.

When the description says dark take that to heart. There’s a lot of sexual assault in this story but these characters and their world are so crazy out there, none of that bothered me the way it might in a more realistic setting. So many terrible things happen to Abby, I was invested because I just wanted to see her kicking ass and taking names, because she’s nobody’s puppet.

You’ll get whiplash from the twists here but won’t mind at all. It’s safe to say most readers won’t guess where things are headed in these books because they’re that crazy so you will be surprised. There’s a love-hate relationship with Cam in the beginning but he’s impossible to hate after that because their relationship is hot. Like scorching. And dirty and descriptive and just very well done. He’s not the only one though, I reassessed my feelings about various characters multiple times because so much happens and lots of it is quite drastic.

My only complaint about this book is that it ended in a cliffhanger which is just a no for me, but the full series had been released already by the time I discovered it, so I was able to proceed. And proceed I did, devouring all three books with an insatiable appetite to see how it ends. Stay tuned for more Rydeville Elite.

Footnote: there are 7 books in the Rydeville Elite series (so far) but Abby and Cam's story is a complete series to me. Books 1 and 2 end in cliffhangers so the story flows uninterrupted for three full novels while books 4-7 are stand alones for various characters we've met in Abby and Kai's story (Charlie, Jackson, Sawyer and Drewe). I'll probably read the rest eventually -- especially Jackson's because wow -- but 6 and 7 haven't even been released yet.

WOW! Where do I begin? This book is full of some many emotions. It is a roller coaster of feelings from first meeting Abby and Cam in the prolog to the soul crushing animosity in the middle of the book all the way to the heartbreaking ending.
I dont think there are many authors out there who can wring emotion out of a book quite like Siobhan Davis. I devoured this book in one sitting due to not wanting to miss what comes next.
Abby is such a strong female who struggles with breaking free from a Male dominated existence. I love that we get to see true glimpses of her through the book. I was able to really feel her struggle with complying just enough to survive.
The "old" elite vs the "new"elite gives the reader different perspectives on how the rich deal with those "less than" .
The men/boys in the book are fighting for domination, but Abby ends up in the middle of it all.
I cant wait until book two to see some more of Cam and Abby along with hopefully getting some answers.

When the Old money Elite are away, the New Money Elite will play.
ARC REVIEW

The toxicity that underpins this story has me so intrigued, I wanted to know what the game was, why the New money were so fixated on destroying the Old Money. I wanted to know everything.

There were so many emotions in this story, one does not to the things they do unless its for survival. Essentially that what stood out so much to me, especially with the bang we start off with.
Nothing was done by anyone without the prior planning, the pro's and the cons. The twists and turns of this story had me wondering where exactly part 2 is headed.

Some of the story-line had me wanting to stop reading, I'll admit that, but you know what, without those pieces included the story would have seemed dull and flat. I honestly don't think I would have enjoyed this as much if it wasn't present. After all, this isn't your average bully romance. Be warned however, there are some potential triggers. Know your limits and Happy Reading!

Most people say revenge is a dish best served cold, but when it comes to Ryderville High Revenge is a dish best served with a lot of lies and secretes.

Oh my word. This book. I’m still speechless. So well written. The story keeps you on your toes and urn it each page trying to discover and learn more. I immediately started the next one I can not stop. It was SO good. You can feel how the characters feel and imagine going through some of the scenarios. Probably my favorite new bully series. So. Much. Suspense.

Wow what an amazing start to this series, I’m totally hooked, I had what the fuck moments and holy shit moments throughout the book to the point my jaw was dropping I just couldn’t believe it, I loved it.

I throughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read the next books in this series, I never thought I would love it as much as I did with plenty of twist and turns I was literally sat on the edge of my seat throughout this. This is a high school bully romance with a twist.

So to start we have the old elite Trent, Drew and Charlie, Drew is Abby’s twin brother. They are the Elite and the run the school.

Then you have New Elite that are there rivals that are made up of Camden, Jackson and Sawyer and they are new to the school. I absolutely loved Camden , Jackson and sawyer.

Abby is the girl caught into between both sets of Elite’s and this is how the story plays out I really loved abbys character , she’s so strong and the stuff she goes through makes you want to grab her and run, my heart was breaking for her but she’s also totally badass and amazing!!

I will warn this book is full of triggers, it’s brutal, toxic and disturbing and they were many moments that I was thoroughly shocked and moments I didn’t see coming. This book kept me up all night to finish it every time I went to stop another WTF moment happened and I had to keep reading.

I only just started reading books by Siobhan Davis and honestly I’m really hooked on her books , I just love them !!!

My rating –
