The "big reveal" was so predictable I literally guessed it somewhere between the 130-165 page mark. Good plot, will be reading the next book.

What a stupid fucking ending.
I disliked this book very much. For once, the dialogues where unreal. NOBODY TALKS LIKE THAT.
Also, are people really this horny all the time? I don't think so. Like, you're about to end your life and suddenly you become preoccupied with this stranger's abs? WTF.
Then, the thing about the will is also dumb. Who adds that clause to their will for their DAUGHTER? PSYCHO SHIT.
To be honest, the only reason I kept reading was because the protagonists don't get together until like 80%, but by then it's so quick it's also unreal.
I kinda want to read the next one solely for the premise, butttt, I don't wanna waste my time with insta forgiveness.

I have thought through this book again and it was honestly awful. 3 stars down to 1 star. I like bully romance, I really do. The events that took place in this book was honestly pretty disgusting even for my tolerance.

OH SHIT. I'm torn between sining Hey-Ya by Outkast and flying my iPad because of this plot. I'm on the verge of screaming my head off because this was so complex and addicting.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS BOOK
I was so miserable reading just the few pages I did. I decided I wasn’t going to finish it after about 100 pages and just skimmed through the rest of the book so this is what I thought about it.
THE START
Just the first chapter was already terrible. The main character, Abigail, is standing in the sea planning to keep walking so she can commit suicide. The main guy, Cam, stops her and takes her to his beach cabin WHERE THEY HAVE SEX. Like come on, you’re not going to have sex with someone who just tried to kill themself. It’s also Abigail’s first time, she was supposed to stay a virgin until her wedding with her fiancé, Trent, who is the biggest douche bag ever.
THE MAIN GUY
Don’t get me wrong I love morally grey characters and bad boys who are mean to everyone but have a weakness for the main girl, but Cam has absolutely no redeeming qualities. Him and his friends are blackmailing Abigail with the fact that she had sex with him. They know that if they would tell her dad or her fiancé and his family that they would kill her, but they do not care and even told her that. To make matters even worse they force themselves into her house, one of them goes into her room AND PLANTS A CAMERA IN THERE. So when she doesn’t do what they want, they decide to send the whole school a photo of her in her room while she is naked. THE DUDE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO ROOT FOR LEAKED HER NUDES! THAT HE MADE!! How is he supposed to come back from that?!?! That’s the point I decided to stop reading and start skimming the book. Another thing I hated about Cam is that him and his friend kept touching Abigail sexually even after she told them to stop. No is no dude, it’s not that hard.

Now I’m going to talk about the shit I saw while skimming through the rest of the book, stop reading now because the rest of this review will contain spoilers.
I was wondering how the fuck she would forgive him sharing her nudes with the whole school well this is how it went. Her fiancé’s dad gets a letter saying that she slept with another guy. Him, her fiancé and her dad decide that they should check so her fiancé, Trent, sticks his finger up her vagina because HER DAD TOLD HIM TO DO SO. When he doesn’t feel anything her dad tells him to look inside of her?!?!!!????? After that the doctor comes in he takes a look and says yea she’s not a virgin so HER DAD BEATS HER UNCONSCIOUS. Meanwhile, her TWIN brother is just standing there looking. That brother is also very mad that she won’t forgive him for not stopping their dad and HE ALSO STAYS FRIENDS WITH TRENT. She forgives Cam after he takes care of her when she wakes up. They fall for each other and have sex a few times.
THE END
Dear god this ending… I couldn’t believe what was happening. It was fücked up and kind of complicated. She becomes pregnant with Cam’s child. Their family finds out and get mad. Cam’s dad and Abigail’s family all come together for this scene. Abigail finds out that her mother left her half of the company but when she marries her part would become her husbands and if she became pregnant it would go to her father so she’s losing the business anyway. She finds out that Cam knew about this, he fucked with her birthcontrol so she would become pregnant so that they would have to marry so that he would get her shares so that he could sell it to his father. I know very complicated. This all happened because Cam’s dad and Abigail’s mother had an affair with each other. Abigail’s dad then killed Cam’s mother. Her mother and his father still kept having their affair, but when her mother was planning on leaving her father, he also killed her. Sooo Cam’s father wanted revenge and so this whole book came to be.
Okay I hope you now understand why I hate this book so much. Thanks for reading my rant review lol

Der Schreibstil der Autorin hat mir gut gefallen. Er war flüssig und leicht zu lesen und auch die Beschreibungen waren sehr detailreich und bildhaft vorzustellen.
Meinung:
Die Idee des Buches hat mir gut gefallen und auch die Umsetzung war gut gelungen. Die Spannung und auch die Gefühle kamen bei mir an.
Auch das Setting der Geschichte hat mir gut gefallen. Die regierende Elite und das Highschoolsetting hab ich zuvor im Bereich Dark Romance noch nicht angetroffen, und war davor anfangs etwas skeptisch. Aber die Umsetzung hat mir gut gefallen.
Fazit:
Nach diesem Cliffhänger bin ich schon gespannt auf Band 2 und kann dieses Buch weiterempfehlen an jene, die gerne Dark Romance Bücher lesen.
