Maybe closer to 4.5.

I liked this book generally, it was gripping and I found myself rooting for Maya despite not particularly liking/resonating with her character.

The last chapter/epilogue is a little too perfect/sappy, but if you like a very tidy ending it's fine. The way the second to last chapter ended would have been a solid ending on its own IMO.

Really enjoyed the majority of the book. Was an interesting premise for the story, and loved following Maya. Interesting depictions of PTSD, family relationships, and wealth. I didn't love the ending - yes it's probably the most realistic? ending, but also left me feeling unsatisfied. But not all stories can wrap up in the perfect bow.
