I tried.. that’s all I can say with this book. At first I was so excited to read it. Then it became apart of my nightstand for a good couple weeks. Then I had it in my backpack for a good couple days. THEN I finally read 300 pages in one sitting and decided I hat I just need to get this book over with. Don’t get me wrong, I remember liking this series but it is so big that I could use it in self defense. I have a love hate relationship with the fact that there is an overview. I wish more books had them but in this case I wish it didn’t. As in I wish there were less characters. Whenever I was reading this book I just went with whatever was happening and was somewhat able to piece together what had happened in the past two books. I wish there was only the three main characters POVs but at the same time there were some other characters that I enjoyed but not as much. It seemed very spread out and there was obviously, a lot going on at once.

This was a marathon of a book. Some of the characters' motivations toward the end didn't make sense, and that annoyed me a bit. It seemed too convenient. But, overall it was a good conclusion to a unique series, and a good read.

I can’t believe I finished the final book of the System Divine trilogy! I waited for a year and a half for its publication and I devoured it in a little over a week!

This was an incredible ending of the trilogy! I laughed and I cried. I’m sad it’s over but I’m so happy with how it ended. The story was beautiful. I fell more in love with Chatine, Marcellus, and Entienne. Even Cerise made her way back into my heart.

This book was by far my favorite of this year. I literally hugged it after I was done. ❤️

The dedication in "Suns Will Rise":

"For all those who have
marched,
protested,
rallied,
spoken up,
sung out,
danced,
written,
created,
donated,
legislated,
barricaded,
struggled,
voted,
and fought
against inequality, oppression, and injustice.
This book is for you."

says it all.
