I thought it’d be really predictable but it was less predictable than I’d thought lol

This story is utterly enchanting. I was spellbound by the weave of folklore and magic that transformed a familiar romance into a new treasure.

loved the characters, loved their relationship, and loved the world. the pacing was perfect for me and despite being ya, it didn't feel too juvenile! the characters were aged properly and one of my biggest gripes (when it comes to fantasy with monsters/gods) with a too-old romantic interest was nowhere to be found here. a solid win! returning back to the six crimson crane's series was a delight, especially in a beauty and the beast inspired romance. i did think that the ending was a little weak compared to the rest of the story, but it was still bittersweet and enjoyable nonetheless.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
An easy, quick read. We get to spend a lot of time in the dragon kingdom with little nuggets linking to Six Crimson Cranes & Dragon's Promise.
Delicious sounding food, beautiful world building and fun characters.

Loved the underwater world and fantasy creatures. Don't have any strong feelings for either Truyan or the dragon lord. Wanted more development on the romance and tension. Still a fun read
