Brilliant, and brilliant, and brilliant! This book is incredible, even if you know nothing about game design (Which to me is tantamount to magic, how do letters and numbers turn into a jump'n'shootin dude?) the characters are absolutely brilliant, and I would believe that Mazer, Sadie, and Marx were real, breathing people. A must-read, one of the best books of 2022.

The book/writer is casually Zionistic. The writer acknowledges the state of Israel while being ignorant of the Nakba. The characters are fleshed out with good story telling. But the writer's failure to mention the political context of the creation of Israel makes the book difficult to recommend.
