I think this is my favourite Brainships book. The partnership they have is awesome, and I loved the archaeology story line.

Just not quite up to Anne McCaffrey's standards.

Another fabulous story in the Brain Ship series. I would say this one was better again, again. I loved the characters, I loved their relationships and interactions. I thought the story was enjoyable and captivating.

I did like the ending. There seems to be a bit of a Brain and Brawn boundary pushing in these novels and I thought this one probably handled it best... so far. I'm ready to see where the next story takes us.

I adore this book. I haven't had very good luck in the past actually getting into an Anne McCaffrey book, but this one was amazing. Loooove the ending. A great book to read if you really like science fiction because it deffinitly follows very closely to the science fiction patterns. This book is part of a series of novels by McCaffrey all about ship and city brains. I haven't had a chance to read any of the others, but the good thing about the series is you don't need to read the others to read one of the books. They are sort of connected but not enough to have to depend on the others for just one. This book was very different from others ones I've read just because the main character starts out as a little girl and you watch her grow up and become a woman...kind of.

Really great, easy, fun, emotional, witty read. If only all books were so easy to devour!

I will admit I enjoyed this book!
The story was interesting enough that I was paging through, dead keen on knowing if Tia finds a cure for her disease or not.
SpoilerPsssht! It's not really said so I think that was a bit of a tease!

A great book for soft sci-fi lovers and McCaffrey fans!

This was as good as The Ship Who Sang. Could not put it down. Enjoyed every minute and loved the characters. Book was chock full of adventures, each one interesting in and of itself.

I hadn't read the Brainship books in years so I decided it was time for a re-read and I happy to report that they stood up to the test of time. I really enjoyed the story and found myself very interested in the characters in these books. I am super glad I read them again.

Ok, to be honest, the plagues scared the heck out of me. But otherwise the romance was nice and subtle and the storyline was driven and interesting. I wish the ending had taken more time to wrap everything up though.
