A few hundred years in the future, the six members of a spaceship's crew wake up in freshly cloned versions of their bodies to discover the their own recently murdered bodies, a badly damaged ship, and an apparent gap of 25 years in their memories that might have explained which of them killed the rest and sabotaged the ship. A fun take on a locked room mystery, complicated by cloning technology, space travel, and future politics. I liked the setup and the premise a lot, but was a bit let down by what struck me as an inelegant and over-complicated solution to the mystery. Still an enjoyable read, the end just didn't quite live up to the type of ending I had hoped for.

Interesting, but did not capture my attention like I had hoped. Took me way longer to read than I expected because it didn’t draw me in.

Definitely a cool concept and it wasn’t awful, but it just felt convoluted and dragged at times.

This scifi book is heavy on the fiction. It looks at the impacts of a world with cloning through the lens of what is best described as a murder mystery. The writing isn't amazing, but the world and actual story are compelling for poking at questions of what makes us who we are and how we take responsibility for our actions.

Hot damn, what a page turner! Amnesia mysteries are one of my favorite genres and this one was particularly masterfully done. I read this in two sittings and look forward to rereading it next year.
