Maybe a 2.85...

I was honestly kind of bored for a lot of it. The insta -lust to insta-love on Kage's part was just so insta. At least Nat took a little bit of time... still insta-love, but it wasn't truly instantaneous like with Kage. I just honestly didn't connect with either character... it was at about 70% when Kage finally expressed how absolutely miserable he was being away from Nat that there felt like any real depth to either character or their emotions.

Until things picked up a little around 75%, I was basically just trying to get through the book in order to get to Sloane's story. I read book 4 of the series first and it's honestly a pretty good thing because if I'd started with this one I dunno if I would have continued.

I also felt like we needed more chapters from Kage's POV.
