Cold Justice #7
Romantic Suspense
If you are looking for action-packed FBI thriller that's heavy and steamy with the romance look no further.
Great series so far. Keeps things interesting and loving the characters.

First off, why is a red-headed woman on the cover of this book? Ashley Chen is biracial (Chinese and Caucasian) and has a “curtain of silky black hair.”
Le sigh…
That’s just the beginning of my list of things I didn’t like about this book. Here’s the rest:
- How Alex knows Lucas; not sure if Parker was just lying to Ashley because there was no point to a lie. As an aside, anyone else bothered by the names of that couple? Oh, how the Keatons would cringe!
- Ashley's stubbornness and inability to ask for help. She's on an elite team of FBI agents. How does she not get the concept of  what it means to be on a team?
- The conclusion was soooo abrupt.

This book was intense from star to finish. It was full of danger, violence, betrayal, and deception in addition to a few gory scenes and potentially gory scenes. Cold Secrets kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. This book had to do with trafficking and all the associated evils, so if it is a trigger for you, you might want to take a pass.

I was exhausted after reading and listening to this book. The audiobook was well done. Full disclosure that Eric G. Dove is one of my favorite narrators.

I had been waiting for Lucas Randall's story. I know this is referred to as a romantic suspense. For me, his relationship with Ashley Chen took a back seat to almost everything else going on in this book. Ashley's past was devasting on a number of levels. How many words can you come up with for betrayal, deception, and sheer evil?

The book was well written. It had elements of romance, but it was also full of suspense. I liked the cyber security/ tech part of the book. Any time Alex Parker is involved, you can guarantee tech will be at the forefront. 4.5 stars.

Now I need to go read a romantic comedy or somerhing, lol.

I LOVE this mystery suspense romance tale...

These characters come alive in this book. Maybe it takes some time to get all of the facts about Ashley, but the unfolding of secrets just ramps up the urgency to read as fast as I could. She embodies my perfect book heroine. She’s smart, independent, yet so compassionate. Lucas is handsome, kindhearted, and rich, but above that he has integrity. This story has the right mix of mystery, suspense, action, and romance I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

A suspense story that keeps you guessing to end. The Cold Justice series is great and it is always nice to visit with the characters from earlier stories. The connection between Agents Chen and Randall is a little inta-love but when Chen's secrets are revealed their feelings for each other become an important part of the story. I look forward to more of this series.

Great story. Great concept. I loved the characters. A little less procedural and more emotional than usual but still good. Yes for Asian representation.
