I love the idea of a zombie infestation choose-your-own-adventure book. This alone is worth 2 stars. The protagonist of the story, however was really quite an unlikable jerk in every scenario, so I really couldn't relate to him at all. Maybe only jerks will survive the zombie plagues, in which case, I think I'd rather be a zombie. Still. Great idea.

Picked this up and thought it would be fun to read with my partner who isn't a big reader. I'm giving it three stars because having a few drinks and debating the merits of each choice was a fun experience and led to some nice conclusions to different plot points.
Why this fun book doesn't score any higher for me though is that some of the plots are short and don't develop. Also, some of the choices given seem really limited and at time don't make logical sense.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something fun to read and to not take anything too seriously because at times this book got ridiculous.

This was a super fun read ... I think I went through all of the choices, but it's hard to really know. Some of the adventures were pretty intense and I ended up dreaming about them!

Ein typisches Choose Your Own Adventure-Buch, aber für ein erwachsenes Publikum. Das hat nicht nur mit dem Thema zu tun, sondern auch mit einigen Szenen, die nicht unbedingt kindertauglich sind ;)
Wie meistens in diesem Genre ist der Schreibstil schlicht und einfach gehalten, sodass auch Personen, die weniger oder selten lesen, damit gut zurecht kommen werden. Überhaupt denke ich, dass diese Art von Buch gut für Menschen geeignet ist, die mehr lesen wollen, aber sich noch nicht so wirklich daran heran trauen.
Ich habe ein paar Runden durchgespielt und fühlte mich dabei ganz gut unterhalten. Zwei Mal gestorben, zwei Mal überlebt. Danach war meine Neugierde auf diesen Titel befriedigt. Zombie-Fans kommen hier gut auf ihre Kosten und werden auch ein paar ihrer Lieblingsfilme zumindest erwähnt finden oder auch ein paar Anspielungen entdecken.

This is such a fun choose your own adventure novel that really makes you think just what the best method is to survive a zombie apocalypse!
I loved all the various scenarios that are brought up and enjoyed that each scenario had some fun moments to lighten the mood a little since zombie killing can be a bit tiring and stressful.
I enjoyed the various illustrations in the book so that you could actual picture some of the more intense fight scenes.
I was happy to see that I actually survived my first read through so maybe there is hope for me lol. Of course, I still had to read them all the endings because I just had to know what happened.
