A subtly ruthless slip of a book.

A book with an interesting plot but with even more interesting thought provoking content between the lines so to speak. I also have questions about the daughter...

Bite sized novel, worth a full read because the beginning is a bit confusing, so don't give up, but once you understand the narrative it's really fun and one of those books that makes you question things, good vibes

Lo encontré en inglés, creo que preferiría leerlo en español. Me pasó lo mismo que con otros textos escritos por hombres.

A pharmaco-erotic slice of postmodernism, in which an alienated Colombia has covered the narco scars with corporatized biomedical spaces. Cárdenas juggles succinct perspective shifts wonderfully, and this short novel flies by, despite its thick conceptual frame. Highly recommend, one of my favorite works of fiction in 2020.

A bit of a challenge for me in some ways but learned some new vocabulary. Very much hooks you at points - the middle was a very fast read for me - and wanders at others. I found myself immersed in the character stories even though they are nameless. The end was a surprise.

Recommended!
