Really appreciate the way she told her story. There was a particular focus on context and a kindness toward the people and places that brought her up. Empathetic and insightful
Also way less triggering than I expected going in, as anyone who’s seen her work knows she’s been through a lot

Like all things Hannah Gadsby, this is not at all a typical memoir. I like how she weaves the history of the gay liberation movement in Australia with her own story. And always the surprising twists where she suddenly draws together a bunch of images that I thought were random or unrelated. I love how her brain works!

A beautifully written memoir. Please don't read thinking this will be a purely funny book. But thank you for the ending Hannah it was perfect.
