I cannot rate this series anything but five stars. Sorry not sorry. Nick and Charlie have my heart and so do the rest of the characters!!!!
I absolutely love that Alice Oseman touched upon codependency in this volume!!! Very relatable first relationship experience. Every topic is handled with such grace while also keeping things realistic. Acknowledging that mental health might be a life-long battle is a hard to swallow pill for most (me lol), but it does give you a new perspective on how to handle it better rather than trying to get rid of it. Seeing Charlie and Nick come to that realisation was cathartic!!

Heartstopper Volume 4 is an amazing book, and my favourite in the series so far! They are an amazing set of books and I’m honoured I got to read them! I love how Oseman deals with mental health and how she recognises that different treatment helps different people!

In volume 4 of heartstopper some difficult topics are brought up and it shows that when you surround yourself with the right people there will always help. This volume was more about the characters as individuals as oppose to their relationship. It helps you connect and feel for the characters separately. There were also some amazing tools on how to help people going through mental illnesses or even if you are going through something. Overall a book that brought many emotions.
