This volume really focuses on Charlie’s mental health journey. While a bit different than the other books, it was a really good read. I urge you to check content warnings, as heavy topics are mentioned.

I like that we speak about mental illnesses in this book, and how hard is for the patient and his family and loved ones. The mental institution should be not shamed also seeking help and treatment should be not taboo. Even when this book was the saddest jet in Heartstoper it's still good. Can't wait for more.

No surprise that this volume is just as spectacular as the last three! I really loved how they handled mental illness and eating disorders in this book, and the way they made the point that you can’t be solely responsible for helping your partner through something like that. That wouldn’t be healthy for either person in the relationship. It’s okay to ask others for help and leaning on family and friends doesn’t mean your relationship isn’t strong, in fact it can make your relationship stronger. Also we stan Tori putting David in his place!

I know many people view Heartstopper as a very wholesome series or light-read, but Alice Oseman is very good at discussing heavier topics such as EDs, SH, and mental-illness things, so pls check trigger warnings :)
