this book means so much to me.

as someone in recovery from an ed it was hard reading the perspective of nick, knowing that i made people feel that way when i left. it was written extremely well and i really appreciate the phenomenal representation.

I know many people view Heartstopper as a very wholesome series or light-read, but Alice Oseman is very good at discussing heavier topics such as EDs, SH, and mental-illness things, so pls check trigger warnings :)

It was really good and brought up some topics I don’t hear media directed at younger audiences talk about like this a lot. It was really good but I do recommend readers of this book to be careful as it could trigger some. It’s still very much worth reading, just be careful.

Alice Oseman is phenomenal at tackling difficult topics like OCD, anxiety and eating disorders into lovable character we can see qualities in our friends. It makes it more relevant and stresses the importance. I loved watching the adaption to screen, and though this volume will take longer it’s worth it!

I've yet to see a book properly handle the subject of (possible trigger)

eating disorders and mental illness among young men

with the level of tact and care that's required when discussing the topic. All this in Oseman's lovely drawing style and incredibly real characterization. Cannot recommend this book enough to those who are prepared to read it!

The mental health issues are talked about in this book in just amazing ways. As a person with past of an eating disorder this book destroyed me but still gave me such comfort? It is just the amazing talent of writing that Alice Oseman has.
