I've read a few Christina Lauren titles, and while this one wasn't my favorite (AUTOBOYOGRAPHY is a *must*), it was a great read to sink into over the long weekend.
TWICE IN A BLUE MOON has two distinct sections: first, we encounter Sam and Tate after they meet as teenagers on vacation in London. They have a whirlwind romance that ends very abruptly, leaving both of them reeling for years afterwards. The narrative then leaps ahead nearly 14 years later, when Tate is now a successful actress starring in a new movie written by...you guessed it...Sam.
I found the London-based portion of this novel stronger than when we see Tate and Sam as adults, and I wanted much more time with Tate and Sam reunited before the final turn at the end of the book. Overall, not my favorite contemporary romance lately, but perfect for an evening by the fire or an afternoon on the beach depending on your plans.
