H.D’s Helen in Egypt creates a complex and rich inner world to an overlooked character of Greek mythology. Helen struggles to remember herself, her history, and the world around her. H.D utilizes other characters from Greek myth to highlight specific gender divisions brought about in the context of war.

Interesting read that adds something new to Greek mythos.

Hilda Doolittle!!! Is there anything she can’t write? I’m in love.

Which is the true Helen? I'm not sure we find out. I'm sure it doesn't matter.
