I’m trying to figure out why this has such a low rating and quite simply I cannot find a reason to rate this under 5 stars. Perfect? I’m unsure, but it was deeply deranged, laugh out loud funny, and a wild adventure. I loved it

this book made me feel so weird the whole time. truly not my cup of tea. every time I set the book down it put me in an incredibly strange mood.

I tore through this. A complex female protagonist with unmanaged trauma and a tendency towards the bisexual? Count me in! 

This was such a funny portrait of a place and the fucked up people that try to run away to that place and what running away gets you. We all end up in our own shit and either rot or deal. I was grateful to watch these characters grow and try to deal and struggle and overcome. Good book.

I didn't care for the ending, but I can't deny the fact that I was laughing out loud for the first half of the story.

Why is this book such a big deal? The characters were too unlikeable to have any sympathy toward them. Only characters I liked were the dogs and the sex therapist.
