Very good ending to the super ass-kicking trilogy. Can't wait to read what Gina Damico cooks up next!

The awful:

The plot in this book makes no sense! First they can't crash (think teleport) because it's too dangerous, so they go through all kinds of security to break into Grimm headquarters, (and a good chunk of the book) then they get out and there's no choice but to crash?! (Seriously?!)

The rest of the plot was just as bad and I could rant forever about that ending! (But I won't, because spoilers.)

Also they're running for there lives and Lex and Driggs stop to have a moment not once but TWICE.

The good:

The ONLY thing that saved this book was watching Uncle Mort banter. That was brilliant!

So am I glad I read it? Not really.

So many tears. This is the end to Gina Damico's Croak series. Parts of the plot left wanting, such as more explanation for how the Grimsphere came to be, and other parts should have been left out, like the obstacle course of death which didn't really add much of value other than some really sad things happening suddenly. Still, there are a plethora of reasons why this last book is awesome and should be read by Croak fans!

1. The characters are awesome.
2. The ending is both a crybaby fest, but feels right.
3. Leaves you with a feeling like yes... this is over.

There isn't much more to say without spoiling everything, but this series was definitely worth the time. I listened to the audiobook of the whole series, and the reader honestly brought all of the characters to life. Each with a unique voice, and her impressions of male voices was actually pretty good.

Four and a half stars.

I literally forgot what happened in this book except the end, and because of this, I felt like I was reading the book for the first time again. I was absolutely baffled at every event that transpired here. The deaths, the carnage, the end (!!!). I almost cried tbh ugh

Anyhow, still one of my favorite YA trilogies but honestly, its position in my mental favorite books/series list went down a couple of numbers simply because I've read books that I like more since the first time I read this trilogy. Still good though.

Amazing
I keep seeing that scene, Lex looking each of fellow juniors in the eye, Ferbus holding them back, and later, Driggs following Lex. For once I read a book, that I like, wherein the protaginist dies, and then her lover joins her in the dark abyssm. I hate Romeo and Juliet and one might say that their sacrifice is the same as those foolish "star-crossed lovers" but, this is not the same, it's so much more. Say what you want, but I personally love this book, it's sad and thrilling, humorous and heart-wrenching, everything I imagine a good book to be, I've switched back and forth between loving and hating the book, but either way it was an awesome trilogy, slightly depressing, but laughter inducing it's one of the best trilogies I've ever read.

The first two books in this trilogy were very good. Rogue was a disappointing ending to the series.

Really glad I finished this series. Now if only my sister and her family could finish reading it so I have someone to talk to about it!
