Still loving this series. The author isn't afraid of having the characters take some hard hits, which makes for a wild ride when reading these. I'm still loving the characters and story. I think I just wish each book had more of its own story/plot. I feel like this series has one overarching plot, and I'm reading part 1, part 2, part 3, etc. And I tend to like series where each book has its own plot, along with the overarching plot.

But honestly, this series is a winner, and I'd highly, highly recommend. And I'm prepared to have my heart break with the final book. Wish me luck.

Pretty much all the same problems as with the other books. Lets talk about Elias for a moment.
Spoiler He's got to become the guy who ushers the spirits into the next world. Cool. He agrees to do this. And then spends most of the book doing the exact opposite of what he needs to do to actual fulfill his promise. And then, predictably, everything goes to shit because he isn't doing what he needs to do. And you'd expect that this might be a moment when he has some character growth and realizes what he needs to do. But no. He doesn't learn anything. The moment he is faced with his failure and has to turn down helping Laia, is is because Mauth takes him over. Clearly he didn't learn anything, it is all motivated by plot. If he had actually made that decision, great. But he doesn't. It is so meaningless.
. But hey, Helene is kinda cool in this book and Musa is a great character (yeah, he's a trope, but a super fun side character). It could be worse. I just wish it was so much better.

Much better than a Torch Against The Night, but it did start slower.

Curse this world for what it does to the mothers, for what it does to the daughters. Curse it for making us strong through loss and pain, our hearts torn from our chests again and again. Curse it for forcing us to endure.

En realidad es un 4'5 pero ains jo no quiero darle las 5 por que uf.

Aún así. ¿ESTE LIBRO? es una montaña rusa de emociones de verdad osea y ese final de verdad shocked
