Great stories of the moms behind our favorite artists.

This was so lovely and thoughtfully written. I've been so excited to read this, and my expectations were both met and exceeded. The topics of family, motherhood, the power of music, and more were discussed so nicely. Also learned a lot through some of the interviews; for example the mother and father of Geddy Lee (lead singer of Rush) were Holocaust survivors. His mother, Mary, was one of few survivors (she had been in Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen). That was a great story, and the others were too.

And of course, I loved hearing her talk about Dave Grohl!

Well written and some highly interesting stories of amazing women and how they brought these superstars into the world. I would say some of the stories are a little repetitive, however that is made up by a few notable one…Tom morello’s mother is just wonderful!

I would love if another volume was to come out. Perfect bite size snippets of mother’s who have nurtured creative souls to share their talents with the world.

This was a fun little book. It was really interesting reading about musicians and their mothers. I really love Virginia and Dave Grohl. Virginia's perspective is often inciteful. These stories are of people; everyday people from different walks of life. It gives you both comfort and hope as a mother.
This book just punctates for me how our American education system does not work. It's an absolute shame and needs to change.
I feel like a friend of the family.
Note: Warren Haynes was born 2 days after me and his mother's name is Ellen. Cool!

This was a enjoyable read about the mother of famous rock stars who reflect on the lives and journeys of their rockstar offspring.
