The first two hundred pages of this book were actually pretty boring. It only got addictive when the Monster Olympics begun. This book was definitely much better than the last and I’m happy to end this series on a good note.
I really think the ending worked well and I’m happy everything turned out all right in the end. I actually got really emotionally when Shera left Arion, but I was extremely happy when we find out that she comes back thirty years later. Jasper adds a nice twist to the story as well. The last chapter was really cool because we got to see everything from Anna’s POV and if I’m being honest I think everyone wanted to see what goes on in Anna’s mind.
The characters in this series have really progressed. It’s amazing how much people change over six books. I’m thinking back to a month ago when I first started reading this series and I did not expect Violet to turn out how she did at all. She seemed so naive and oblivious at first and it turns out she has this big powerful monster inside of her. Honestly, I’m really happy with how this series ended and I’m actually really sad that there are no more books.
Stars ~ 4.7

I loved all of these books. I read all six books within a period of ten days. I could hardly stand to put it down. I can’t wait to see what the author releases in the future.
This serie was everything ! It kept me entertained until the end (which is sooo rare). Even 6 months later I still miss this MC and her men. So sad that it is over but so so happy that I was able to read this serie. Forever in my heart <3

This is one of the best paranormal romance I've read so far.
Violet is a surprinsing well flesh out breath of fresh air in the era of all the same stereotypical pseudo "badass female MC". The guys don't fall for her "just because", but she actually does some sweet things for them, cares for them, is assertive and effective in her communication and throws constructive criticism at the guys in a mature way. She is smart, polite, respectful, caring and giving, while strong in subtle ways, not the "smartass, cynical, physically strong" female MC that's getting tiring and nowhere near what I would consider a truly "strong female character".
The guys have very different, well defined personalites, strenghts and weaknesses. An interesting relationships between themselves.
My biggest gripe! The epilogue, that left me wanting a spin off from Jasper POV, REALLY HARD.

hilarious paranormal RH romance
This book/series is a hilarious, pretty silly and goofy, paranormal, darkish reverse harem romance. You can’t take this series too seriously. Loved the characters and all the off the wall silliness. Vampires, Werewolves, illusionists, monsters of other sorts, ghosts and a Val Hansing family with a bit of spice.

Unfortunately, I didn’t like this one as much as the others. It was way too long and somewhat repetitive that I found myself over it. I just wanted to finish the book on move on with my life which is never a good feeling.
I needed more character development, especially from the men. They always were a little condescending towards Violet and treated her somewhat lesser. By the end, they treated her the exact same. I get they love her and I don’t doubt that but she should be equal and I feel like they still don’t take her seriously. They never really learned to listen to her and I don’t love that.
It took forever to figure out the plot. We went through five books of lead up and not really any answers for it to all go down at once. It was so hard to follow. There were so many characters and new plot devices then it was explained through confused characters perspectives which didn’t help me understand. I’m still not fully sure I get it. I wished we got some answers as we went because I felt like this was so much.
I don’t think this was a bad book or series. I actually really enjoyed the series until this last book. I just found it lacking and not my cup of tea.

I believe Cunning's writing style may be really annoying to some, but I truly enjoyed it. She used a lot of conversations and characters' thinking processes to make the plot proceed. There was minimal amount of world building. This series was also fucking weird and if you don't like weird, you don't like this series. And because I loved all the weirdness, does it make me weird also?
I loved the dialogue between characters: I find it hilarious and I can relate to the tone of it. Dark humour is the best humour. In this book though, I thought that some parts of the dialogue were unnecessary and boring.
I didn't first like Shaun Grindell as the audiobook narrator, but I grew to love him! The narration got better and better and in this last book it was really easy to separate the male characters only by Shaun's way of speaking. I already miss his voice and all the crazy guys!

Wow
Well, I've finally arrived at the end of the series. I can't express how much I loved this with words. Maybe an interpretive dance would help. And a video accompanied by a soundtrack of Clown Core.
This story is insane. I don't mean that in a negative way. I mean it is everything my brain loves. It flits from chaos to sweetness to spicy times to emotionally exhausting in the span of a few pages. In the end, my brain was exhausted, but in a good way.
If you've come this far in reading the books, I doubt you're reading reviews and you'll just plow right into book 6 and devour every word. However, if you've not jumped on the crazy train yet, know this: this series is outrageously fun. It's the story of a young gypsy whom stumbles into a town filled with classic monsters. She's completely ignorant of their existence, so is surprised to discover a new world of intrigue and politics hidden behind the one she's known. This forces her to confront her life and dive deep into who she really is...and falls into love and friendship she's never known before. And it's funny! And sweet! And spicy! This is my favourite sort of book series.
I tried to read this book slowly, because I tore through the previous ones like I would a buffet of mac and cheese, but couldn't help myself. I lived inside these pages. I ignored my responsibilities and my family. And I didn't feel guilty over it. I love books that seep into my subconscious where I can't escape them, even in dreams. I dreamt of this world so vividly, I'm sure it actually exists. How could it not?
Anyway, I adore this author and world she's weaved. I'd happily read any books related to this world. I highly recommend this series if you like pnr or fantasy romance (I'm not good with genres or tropes). It's excellent. I loved this. So much.
