Wasn’t Expecting That!
I almost didn’t finish this one. It seemed to drone on until a little more than half way through. It got wild! I really believe this would make a great movie or television series. Violet, Vance, Emit and Damien are now my dream relationship lol.

There were a few chapters in this book that made me frustrated because it was a lot of information, really fast. Most of the secrets were coming out all at once with no one knowing what all is going on, and it was too chaotic. But it did tie up so many loose ends. And I love the peaceful ending. They all deserve it.

I enjoyed the 5th book in this series way more than I enjoyed the last one. The 5th book made me laugh and cry.
What I didn't like about this book:
I felt like it dragged on and on.
I feel weird about her monster. (like the I don't know it just felt weird for me....
I really enjoyed all of four psychos by this author and the spice in that book were better than this book. I feel like we barely got any scenes with multiple men, and the first 4 books barely had any spice.
Plus we never get truly 100% explained what being a mate, a flame, and a bride entail. Like we know she essentially married them, but is there any special connection now that didn't exist before? Like can she pick up on their thoughts and emotions? Does she get any of their powers/strengths?

Most disappointing one in the series
This book really bummed me out. I fell in love with all of the characters and then this book became a circus! Too many extra characters with no point to them at all and then what in actual neck is Violet?! Is she a Frankenstein type monster or Hyde or what? It just got so confusing I couldn't really keep track. Also, what was the point of the gypsy council really? I expected to hear something diabolical about them but there was nothing. I just feel like there was so much potential lost here. I did love the series...the author is so good at character development and world building. This book just seemed very scattered and rushed.

IDK how I made it to the last book in the series before getting bored, but man this series got boring for me. I set the book down and nothing could motivate me to pick it back up.
