This was a quick, lovely read, and I enjoyed spending a little bit of time with all the family members.

Ian Mackenzie wakes up one night when an errant sound causes him to realize there's an intruder in his brother's house. By the time he gets downstairs, his brother's art collection has been looted. From there, we get to revisit almost all of the Mackenzies and see them deal with an old enemy.
A nice story but doesn't really explore more characters or add anything except a brief update to the Mackenzie family.

I wound up skimming most of this. I was just bored, not only because I'm not as familiar with the other Mackenzie couples as I am with Ian and Beth, but also because there was a lot of info-dump exposition throughout the story in an attempt to catch readers up on past events if they hadn't read the other books. That kind of telling-not-showing stuff is a snooze to me. Oh well...I liked the Ian/Beth parts pretty well, at least!

I don't generally enjoy Novellas as they always seemed rushed, but this one was nice! It flowed just right and it was wonderful to get a glimpse of the ever-expanding Mackenzie brood. :)

A cute novella. It ties things together from the last book to the next very well, introducing characters, etc.

I really liked this book. It a bit of everyone. Cam is dealing with the reality of Daniel being a grown man and being a father again. Hart is confronting his fear of Eleanor dying in labor. And Beth breaks one of Ian's priceless Ming bowls.

I really enjoyed this slice of life. Hart really did come off like a bear. Ian's points of views were interesting. We got bits and pieces of Bellamy, Cam's right hand man, and that he falls for a new servant girl. I wish we could have seen more of Bellamy. I really liked what we did get to see and wanted more.
