Gorgeous and confusing. Or maybe I'm just feverish. I saw Kelly Sue DeConnick a few years back and she said that she had this kicking around in the back of her head for a while but kept putting it of because she didn't think illustrators liked to draw horses.

From all the hype I'd heard about it, I expected it to be much better than it was. Maybe it was just me going in with high expectations, but I just didn't find it very good. The pacing was erratic, the art difficult to follow, and it kind of felt like a Sandman knock-off if I'm being honest. Even the art style felt similar. I don't know, the story was interesting enough, and there were a few interesting characters, but it just didn't do it for me.

I get why people love this series, but it just wasn't my thing. I've never been into the Western genre even with a supernatural twist.

Only read the first issue...

Looks intriguing. The first issue alludes to the origin story of death's daughter, told by two mysterious travelling companions--a girl who wears a vulture cloak and an older man who appears blind but isn't. The story features a classic Western setting.

One of the most beautiful graphic novels I have ever read.

I was recently talking to a co-worker friend about sci-fi fantasy novels, and mentioned that I am a sucker for stories that have Death as a character. His first reaction was to recommend this comic series to me. Now, I love to do my own art but I tend to have a hard time following what goes on in comics and graphic novels. I'm quite used to literary fiction and pictures are something that haven't been in my reads for many many years. But I have been exposed to some great graphic novels in the past few years, and said that I would give it a shot.

So far, I'm not sure what's going on here, but I'm intrigued. The storyline definitely has me asking a lot of questions.

Muy interesante. No sé si comprar los números individuales o comprar los volúmenes.
Puede que sea ligeramente confuso al principio, pero creo que al final uno ya entiende el giste de la situación.

Interesting story - I'm excited to see where it goes. I also enjoyed the art, which I felt fit better here than in Captain Marvel.
