I had never read this in school - whichever grade people generally have it assigned. Anyway, I thought the descriptive power was incredible and coupled with the internal narrative of Henry, it was modern feeling (minding it was written in 1895!).

The first time I read this book, I was in high school. Almost thirty years later, I think I get it. Wow.

The episode of Wishbone was better.

I had to read this book for my english class. I honestly don't know why is it relevant for my education. Will it help me in life ? No, but I did get a few good things out of the story.

I was expecting Henry to die at the end. It didn't happen that way.

Henry feels very guilty from running way. But he considers that fleeting from danger is natural. Universal tendency.

everyone's always running hither and thither, like my attention span when reading this
