3.84 AVERAGE

I found this book on a "Best Reads for Fall" list...I didn't realize until I got the book that it is geared for ages 9-12. No worries. I love reading all ages really. I just love to read.

I did not love the story of Jenni and Autumn. It was just weird and didn't make a lot of sense to me. It felt repetitive also.

I do like the lessons that Jenni lesrned seeing into the future. Don't take a moment for granted. Always be kind to your family and loved ones. Giving them your best each and every day.

Oh, other than the name, this book has absolutely nothing to do with fall...Haha. So still trying to figure out why it was on that list.

This was a quick and easy read. The time travel aspect of it was interesting, but Jenni and Autumn both felt a little "undercooked". While I appreciate that Middle Grade fiction has a considerable amount of constraints in terms of character development and also plot, the ending was a little too pat for me, and I think it might have been interesting to take it in a different direction -- all things considered, however, the ending I would have liked would be too bleak for MG fiction, most likely. I don't see why a younger reader (or one less likely to overthink) wouldn't really enjoy this book, though.

Sweet but not super special

This book was sort of good because it was confusing in the end. I do not really feel satisfied with this book.

A Year without Autumn was an good read. I love the ending! I liked that in end everything turned out okay. :)

This was a pretty fast and decent read. It wasn't as good as Emily Windsnap or Philippa Fisher, both of which I haven't read in a couple of years. This seems like a really sad sign that I'm growing out of Liz Kessler's books.

So I'm going through my giant bookshelf, purging books because I have WAY too many (over 400). I'm reading the first few pages to see if I should keep the book etc. The first few pages of this were meh, but the idea of the novel was interesting. Basically I skipped over half the book and skimmed most of it and read a good chunk of the end. I'm glad I didn't read the whole thing, because what little I did read was panicky and rushed and I don't know, man. Maybe I'm being too harsh. The characters were kind of annoying too, ngl.

A great time travel book, probably better suited to a teenager than adult but still charms you.
