Another gripping installment with many attempts on our Merry's life. But has Andais come to realise that Merry really is a force to be reckoned with? And will that bring it's own problems? I for one can't wait to find out.
Man, the awesome, bloody, gory battle at the end was totally worth the wait. Awesome!
Im not a political person and have no interest in it. However reading this was quite interesting. The author has created a fae court and the politics that goes with it. How can you not be interested.
This books has a bit of everything in it. Violence , sex(lots and lots of it), mystery, and magic... lots and lots of magic.
Merry is proving to be the leader she was never supposed to be.

I know these will never win any literary prizes, but they are entertaining - at least, to me!
I'm getting sucked into this story. I find myself enjoying Merry, even though some of the language bothers me.
It has been a little while since I read this book but here is what I recall...
I had a love hate relationship with this series. It was confused about if it wanted to be mainstream or erotic. Mostly Merry had loads of sex and the story fell to the wayside.
I quit before I finished the whole series. But I did get quite a few books in so there must have been something drawing me back every time!

All of the sex gets extremely tedious, even though it is central to the story. The actual story outside of the sex is fantastic, I'm very caught up in the politics of the fey. And Merry, with all of her Merry Men.
I don't know what it is but I keep reading more of these books. I just read #3? When did that happen?
I'm torn between being being interested in the world of the faerie courts, and rolling my eyes at the fact that Merry's power is sex. Someone wants a new super power? Boink Merry!
