This book was such an enjoyable read! I liked the action and the magic, and the banter had me laughing from the first page.

I do feel as though certain areas were lacking, though. The plot, the characters, the romance... there were all there, but they didn’t reach their full potential. While it was a quick and fun read, I must admit there were a few times while reading that I thought, ‘That’s it?’.

Besides the seriously exhausting number of jokes and comments about characters dick sizes, i really liked it.

This book has MCs that are so OP they usually don't have to care about anything so they have both decided to be massive trolls about absolutely everything. Now they are in a situation where they are not ridiculously more powerful than everyone else. But still incapable of taking things seriously for more than 5 consecutive minutes. It's so much fun.

One thing I need to credit this author for is their characters and the world building they achieve. Again the characters are strong and interesting and their interactions are entertaining. The storyline in this book is also grabbing and I definitely want to read more. However, I've come to the conclusion that I'll need to spread any books written by this author out over a period of time. The humour becomes grating to me if I read them in too short a time period. I like humour in a story, don't get me wrong. But when it seems that almost every interaction must have some humorous element it starts to feel forced and unnatural... of course, this is just my opinion, lol. I'm definitely going to keep reading these books. I'll just spread them out over time rather than binge.

3.5 stars on this one for me. Miles and Havoc's banter is great. Miles is a mage and Havoc is a demon, Havoc is bonded ti Miles. Their story is pretty cute although I felt like they slipped into being partners rather fast. There were times that I wasn't sure where the clues were leading them, but we figure it out in the end. Will need book 2 to find out what happens with Geoff.

In this, the year of everything shitty, Happy Endings is a godsend. I haven't laughed this much since before February 2020. Winters creates hilarious, wonderful, snippy characters you'll fall in love with and a story that keeps you completely engaged throughout. Every character is a delight. Shenanigans galore. Greg Boudreaux delivers a masterful performance as usual, showing off a talented range of voices and awesome comedic timing. This is a book you don't want to miss.
