Alice Winters

3.94 AVERAGE

2.5 stars
Not BAD but just meh - I need to start keeping better track of where I get some of my book recommendations bc I have no idea where this one came from.

Alice Winters is officially an auto-read for me now. Her books are hilarious and fun. The relationships are sweet in uniquely different (and amusing) ways, the stories are intriguing and the banter/snark is top tier.

Mile and Havoc are relationship goals. A bit like if Aladdin was in love with Genie instead of Jasmine. If Aladdin was a 200 year old Mage and Genie was a chocolate obsessed Demon. Throw in a golden retriever werewolf, a Minotaur who just wants someone to “love”, a hippie bro paladin and a coffee obsessed forest spirit who doesn’t understand modern.. anything.. and you have one of the most entertaining stories I’ve read in a long time!

DNF @ 50%

The story was entertaining, but there's a lot going on, and I just don't have enough interest to continue.

Plus, the MCs hooking up was a result of "I'm horny and you're around." and then a high level of possession ensues. They end up almost...domestic in a short span of time. What even is that?
