the review on the top of this book says “this book is very close to perfect,” i happened to think it was perfect.

holy freaking cow i loved this book so freaking much i DEVOURED IT. i read it in less than 24 hours and i don’t regret a thing except for the fact that i wish there was more.

i’m a social worker so i related to Linus so hard GAH and he encapsulated so much of what it’s like to be the only advocate for someone in such restrictive spaces.

these kids!!!!!!!!!!! i don’t even know what to say except i fell in love with each of them in every way shape and form.

lastly, my man arthur, you are smokin hot in my brain and the greatest dad in the world and i love you.

this book healed so much in me. i really sobbed nonstop and wish i could attach photos of my crying to all my book reviews bc this one was a doozy!!!!! my first five star read of the year!!!!! <3

Just so wholesome and lovely. I haven’t read a book that made me fee this hopeful in a long time.

Even if I ignore the blatant appropriation of the narrative and the author’s wild comments about it, the writing isn’t good. Or at least not for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
