Jeg leste første halvdel av denne boken i halvsvime på nattevakt. Første halvdelen består av veldig detaljerte beskrivelser. Tror derfor jeg må lese den en gang til ved en senere anledning.
Av det jeg faktisk fikk med meg så må jeg si at det er en creepy, interessant bok som er skrevet på en poetisk måte.
Det som er mest skremmende å tenke på er at forfatteren utførte rituelt selvmord, og at mye av bokens innhold muligens reflekterer mye av hans tanker og syn.

A dark book about a child's aspirations and priorities, and what happens when they interact with the reality of people and adults that don't understand them. The book has some dark twists, but a lot of it was sort of a pleasant read. Not overly ideological, which is something I was concerned about.

you can really feel the author in the book. After learning about mishima and his life, his work takes on another dimension of tense uncomfortable fascination. I still think about this book years after I've read it.

Ever had a stepfather piss you off so much by being a decent person and refusing to beat you up because you were sneaking on him and your mum having sex ? Instead the stepfather says that you should not do that and you should learn to respect privacy and also that one day when you grow up you two will laugh about it ? Like how dear he!? Seriously how can such a person be so clueless and be like all other fathers/stepfathers and yell and beat you up ? So what you do ? you go to your boy gang and decide to murder the monstrous stepdad!
