I love this book so much. It’s easily one of the most insightful and interesting books I’ve read.

Incredible book.
Not many books leave me completely speechless like this one did. Was slightly apprehensive about this as I’d only heard of it as feminist literature and that’s not usually my cup of tea, however the themes really struck a chord in today’s world and I found it so engaging and yet deeply worrying at the same time. The writing was beautifully descriptive and carefully crafted, the characters were a mixture of disturbing and painfully realistic, the setting and detail given to the background story was unsettling and created such a captivating atmosphere, really made me think. I couldn’t put it down. Then again some parts were difficult to read, graphic and disturbing ,so if you’re not into dystopian horror then maybe give it a miss.
What a journey of a book.

I had really high hopes for this book. It was incredibly slow, hard to get into and don't get me started with how there really isn't an ending. It leaves you hanging without really telling you what happened to June.

I am amazed at how much this book touched me, how beautiful the writing was, how the lack of quotation marks that angered some helped me connect to this stream-of-consciousness style. I am always surprised when I can't put a book down and then find one-star reviews of the book I'd give 10 stars to. It's pretty spectacular how much we are each a product of our own experiences...how alone we might feel to discover that looking in the same direction, examining the exact same scenery, we see very different things.

My eyes hurt from lit-screens so I can't say much more right now. This is a book I plan to read again. And I'll come back.

not my cup of tea but it's nice to now understand comparisons between our world and that of this book.
