Happened to find this as an ebook at my library finally so I am officially on an Art of Marvel reading spree! Thor is not my favorite character by far, though I do enjoy him, but I do like Loki, and the Dark Elves in this movie were very intriguing as a species for the scifi writer in me. There was a fair bit of information about the Dark Elves and how their designs and species were made, how their ships were designed, etc, and that was probably my favorite part.

The other main reason I read these books is to see the character sketches/concept art, and other than the Dark Elves, there wasn't as much compared to some of the other Marvel artbooks I've read. It was more "here's what we changed from Thor or The Avengers"; there were concept designs of the characters included, but they were more finalized; drafts and variations weren't the focal point as much as the scenery in this case. Granted, the introduction of Asgard would require lots of environment design, but the focus inside the artbook was definitely more on it than the characters.
