What a beautiful ending to this beautiful series 😭 I've been waiting for Law's story since book 1 and this delivered!

Law and Hallie are so so perfect and I'm so happy they found eachother. They were both so sweet with the boys too 🥹 Big probs to Cowles for not only writing >10 y/os but teenagers and also writing them well, as a bigger sister to a 17 y/o boy, I can confirm the accuracy.

I found this series at a very dark and weird place in my life (in the hospital xoxo) and while things aren't perfect now, they're better and I'm so glad these books were there for me during it. The Hartleys definitely found their way into my heart ❤

P.S.: I feel like I can't really rate this book lower because of it (bc every romance has it) but jfc, does EVERY couple in EVERY romance have to end up w kids 🙃

This was the perfect ending to this series.  There was a lot of build up in the series for Lawson’s story and it delivered. Every book in this series was awesome and so well written. This book had suspense that had me scared (there may have been a nightmare) and heartwarming family moments that literally had me crying.
I also totally called the villain since the last book - I knew I didn’t trust him. I love being right and my smugness is totally showing.
Now I can’t wait for the next series.

Another 5 stars for Catherine Cowles. Her books are always great romantic suspense and what a way to finish the series.

But... After binge reading for of her books, I can say that the end starts to be a little bit repetitive.

A solid ending to what has become my favourite of Catherine Cowles’ series (although I think Fractured sky is still my favourite book of hers overall)

What I especially love:
✅ The Slow burn romance between Lawson and Hallie

✅ Lawson’s boys and their relationship with Hallie

✅ The Single dad/Nanny trope in general. Done perfectly here (bonus for there being an age gap)

It also confirmed something I had been wondering since the last book

I will really miss these characters and look forward to the next series (very excited about the next main character)

This was an AMAZING end to the series. Hallie and Lawson were perfect. And now I don’t know if his story or roans were my favorite. I love how Lawson would always drop whatever he was doing to be there for Hallie and help her through her trauma. And Hallie the way her and Luke’s relationship bloomed was so well written. But Luke oh my heart broke for that boy. When everything he was holding on to came out I cried. And drew talk about comedic relief. The children really pulled this story home for me because Charlie was just the sweetest innocent little boy and the way they all fell in love with Hallie was beautiful. Honestly I was so wrapped up in the story line I didn’t even care that there was basically no spice. It was amazing and that serial killer plot twist didn’t see it coming at all.
