Overall, I liked it, but there were some reactions from the characters that were attributed to religion that are definitely more cultural. There were also some overgeneralizations that I did not appreciate, but the twist was interesting.

i have to say, i have never read a novel where the plot twist is that

the characters have been married the whole fucking time
