A great read! Achebe's voice is distinct, personal and memorable, and I'm looking forward to reading other works of his. This collection of essays tell of the gravest injustices, delving into some of their root causes, that for centuries have gone largely ignored by academics, journalists and the average citizen alike.

A wonderfully written and succinct entry-level read on the consequences of racism, colonialism, imperialism and the habit of 'othering' people of colour, both on the author himself and the world as we know it.
