I tried finding issues with this one but for once it was a really good book, present parents, mental health rep, healthy relationships and friendships
If you’re looking for a light read that is cute and fun, By Your Side is definitely the right type of novel to read. Sometimes you just need an easy, feel good YA book to give your brain a break and that was what this book was for me!

the love story is cute and fun to read and Autumn is a relatable character
but the writing is a bit strange and confusing, like when the scene is over and the story is gonna take place in another day or another time , the book doesn't separate that by putting dashes or anything , that frustrated me.
but at the end of the day i really liked this book.. it's my first Kaisie West book and it won't be the last

This book was really good but also really slow at some parts but I really like the That one of the main characters has some anxiety
Esta novela trata sobre Autumn y Dax, dos personas que se quedan encerradas en la biblioteca durante un fin de semana y tienen que sobrevivir como pueden. Los dos son muy diferentes, Autumn es más abierta y vivaracha, mientras que Dax es menos sociable y todo un misterio. Durante ese fin de semana ambos forjarán una amistad especial en la que ambos se apoyarán el uno en el otro e irán construyendo algo que ninguno esperaba.
Es un libro muy juvenil, los personajes se encuentran en el instituto y se trata el tema de la amistad, el amor y también la ansiedad. Se trata de una novela muy sencilla, con unos personajes y una trama muy simples que yo recomiendo si te gustan este tipo de libros. Se lee muy fácil y rápido y para desconectar es perfecto.
Como he dicho, la autora trata el tema de la ansiedad aunque no profundiza en ello. Hacia el final es cuando más enganchada me ha tenido porque tenía ganas de saber como iba a ser el desenlace de todo.

This book was exactly what I wanted and needed: a quick, cute, funny and not too serious read. Did the characters behave a bit naively sometimes? Absolutely. Should the book have focused a bit more on the family aspect, and a bit less on the romance aspect? I think so. But all in all, this was entertaining, sweet, and a perfect light summer read. I also struggle with social anxiety from time to time, so I could relate to Autumn really well.
