Man these books are stressful lol but I love them. I’m still loving rogue as the FMC, but I just wish her and the boys could get on the same page. Of course this book ended with another cliffhanger but thankfully I can binge read them.

Obsessed! This series has me in a chokehold.
I can’t stop.
I thought things were looking good but the twisted sister sure know how to pull your heart out and stamp on it. Ahh it’s so good!!!!!
Straight in book 4 Paradise Lagoon

I tried to stick it out, but I just kept yelling at the main character... like why was the storyline proressing so slowly???
I’ve been emotionally compromised by this book.
I think it’s the first time one of the sisters’ books makes me cry. The level of angst was just superior. So many characters were suffering for so many different reasons. They keep hurting each other and I hurt with each of them.
I’m not gonna lie, Fox can go eff himself. I just don’t care after what he did. His possessive strike was never cute to being with. And his lack of listening comprehension drives me so mad, too. He got a bit better in this book but by the end, he took ten steps back.
Chase has become my new favorite, what he went through in this book was too much. I’ve never wanted to take care of a fictional character as much as I did with him. And his internal struggles with his self worth hurt my chest. That scene with Fox… and how he said goodbye… fuck, I ugly cried.
JJ and Rogue were wonderful and I loved their little conflict and how that made them grow closer. JJ is still the only Harlequin with a working brain cell and it shows. He’s truly wonderful and getting to see him in love was my everything.
Maverick saving each of them and showing he cares against his will is probably one of my favorite aspects of this series. And his relationship with Luther has me in a choke hold. I always go soft for the characters with daddy issues and their daddies (case in point: Wolfsong lol) and this was no exception. I kinda need Luther to get his boys back home and a scene where the 3 of them are happy together. Please universe.
These sisters are experts at queer baiting the shit outta me. All these straight male characters keep touching each other and having some seriously homoerotic thoughts, but in the end nothing ever happens. It’s hot af and I can’t be mad. But jfc I wish they would ever give me real mm at some point!
I’m not prepared for the next book. Fucking Shawn!!!

Was this one of the best of the series up until now? Yeah, I think so!
This book made me have to hold in laughter at 4am when I was reading while my husband was sleeping. Two hours later it made me cry. Later on I laughed again, then cried twice... near the end there's MAJOR heartbreak (no spoilers, but anything involving animals that's sad just makes me bawl!)... I LOVE the connection you feel with the characters so much, and the pain and love and torment you feel along with them. You want to sometimes yell at them through the pages, you want to be there with them in the car or on the dance floor. Not many authors can make enrapture you like these sisters can!
I also LOVE how in all of these books (and their others!) they often specify what music is playing in certain situations. Books with too much detail can feel a bit much, but it works SO WELL for these. Personally a lot of the time when I see a certain song listed in a scene, I'll pull up my music app and start playing it and continue reading, or pause to really listen to it so I can get a feel for what the characters are feeling, it really brings you into the story that much more, and it's freaking magnificent. Another fun thing the authors do in their books is put little 'Easter eggs' in, making reference to other books they've written, whether it's spotted on a night stand, brought up in conversation, or a character begins reading it.
These stories are amazing, and the authors two of the most skilled writers, genius writers even, that I've ever come across!
(PS: All hail Lord Squiddington!)
