One of the better books in the hunger games saga, the better prequel. It made appreciate the storyline of all characters in the universe more. It took a long time for Haymitch’s redemption and he certainly didn’t get it in this book - which makes it all the worthwhile.

- incredible audiobook narrator
- loved learning more about some of the supporting characters

Cons:
- so brutal (not surprising)
- too dark, I needed a more hopeful ending than the one we got
