I didn’t like songbirds and ballads of the snakes so I was very hesitant when I picked this one up but im so glad I did.
While it’s absolutely devastating it adds so much richness, context and character development to people who were already loved and cherished.
It just goes to show how much work needs to be done to actually start and maintain a revolution.
I think this story shows Katniss got lucky with her team and the support she had behind her.
Haymitch should’ve had a better life but the odds weren’t in his favor at all.
While it’s absolutely devastating it adds so much richness, context and character development to people who were already loved and cherished.

I love all the Hunger Games books. Even these prequels are so good. I hope that she writes more. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie for this one since they have done a really good job with the movies so far.
