This picture book is about tricking people who are mean to you. Definitely small child material.

I love the Frances books, particularly the illustrations and the faint obsession with food. Always an enjoyable read...though I live in hope of ever finding a copy of the audiobooks read by Glynnis Johns I listened to repeatedly when I was young.

All time fave. There's such a deep understanding here of the way kids think and behave. It's hilarious and brilliant.

Frances here learns to be friends with her sister and shows a boy a bit of girl power.
It still makes sense that they are badgers, but anyway apart from that weird fact in the story, this is a decent story.
It is a different kind of "picture book" - there are many words and fear pictures.
It is a good story though, and possibly th best in the series so far, with a good ending.
her sister born during the series is growing up fast!

It was fun to hang out with Frances again. There is something really magical to look back at the books with which we learned to read. The illustrations are almost light pictures from a family photo album.

Read for 5420 class

This book is a roller coaster of gender norms, and not in a good way.
