Second Carley Fortune book and second time not caring for the so-called HEA. The MMC was so childish? And tbh I wish we would have seen more of FMC with her high school bf because I found their dynamic as adults and co-workers very cute.

Meet Me at the Lake

Something I loved about this book was how it brought about such relatable and strong feelings.

Embarassment ? Yes
Feeling overwhelmed? Yes
Grief? Yes
Joy? Yes
Love in romance and in friendships and with your life? Heck yes!

There were so many pieces of myself scattered throughout the book it almost felt as if it was written for me. I don’t want to do spoilers but I will say the epilogue had me bawling as I felt incredibly connected.

Well done Carley Fortune!

I liked this one better than Every Summer After.
