as someone who loves comics, i instantly devoured this book!!! 

the creation of EOs is amazing and i truly was hooked by how twisted yet fascinating the whole concept is. the way ve schwab explores power, morality, and ambition through these characters? SO good. victor and eli are both messed up in their own ways but that’s what makes them so compelling—like you just can’t root for one without questioning yourself.

plus, the pacing?? immaculate. every flashback and time jump felt intentional and it built up the tension so well. it’s morally grey, intense, and just the right amount of dark. definitely the kind of story that lingers with you even after finishing.
