I love Jill Shalvis but this is the horniest piece of fiction I have ever read. Didn't get attached to any of the characters, I felt eh. The smut??? I swear to god I have never read a Jill Shalvis smut scene (that I remember) so this felt like throwing myself into an ice bath. I felt uncomfortable with the scenes and I just couldn't.

Jill Shalvis I love you but this isn't for me

Lucky in Love by Jill Shalvis
Ty has 4 year old nightmares that wake him up. He was a SEAL and he had escaped, alive. He's in lucky Harbor now he is a private contractor for the government. His last job contract when he fell out of the 2 story house had broken his leg. He's there to recuperate.
Love little different 'chocolate' sayings at the beginning of each chapter.
Mallory Quinn is a nurse and lives in Lucky Harbor. During a freak spring snowstorm she and Amy get trapped in the bakery shop when the tree falls on the shop.
After she saves him he is able to return the favor at the auction-many times over.
Hot steamy sex scenes. Love the excusions they go on. When drugs are missing at the center will she take the fall and leave her job to protect him and she's not sure it was him that took the drugs or ...
Others step in to take the fall that is most unexpected and more secrets are told...
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Loved! The only thing I didn't like was that when it came to Ty she could not make a decision and stick with it! Other than that it was possibly my favorite lucky harbor book yet

The characters never seemed to spend any time together so an emotional relationship beyond sex was hard to believe.

Jill Shalvis is just such a fun and lighthearted summer read. I’ve enjoyed her Lucky Harbor series so far that Lucky in Love was a great read to enjoy while sitting by the pool. Mallory Quinn has always been the good girl that she’s finally ready to break out of her shell and be the bad girl. And who better than practice on than new comer Ty Garrison. When you live in such a small town like Lucky Harbor your every move is tracked on the town’s Facebook page it’s hilarious to see how Mallory and Ty try to handle the ins and outs of their budding romance with everyone’s comments following them everywhere. But with the first interaction of these two you know that they’re going to be lighting up the pages! Plus it doesn’t hurt that Mallory seems to be as chocolate obsessed as some other people I know. Great read and so excited for the next in the series!

I really really liked this. And... It was really really hot. Looking forward to Amy and Grace's books.

Fun and sweet romance. I did find it interesting that Shalvis thanks Robyn Carr in the credits to this one; they both write small-town romance set on the northern west coast, but where Carr really grapples with the perils as well as the pleasures of small-town life, Shalvis opts for the sunnier, Romancelandia view. So, for example,
Spoilerwhen there is a mysterious drug theft from the heroine's clinic, the solution is cute and does not involve any actual addicts or serious theft: Vicodin was stolen by a crotchety senior who mistook the boxes for her expensive vitamins
. Both approaches have their merits, but I definitely have to be in a sunny, suspension-of-disbelief state of mind to read Shalvis.

So Ty is so close to taking Jax out of my Lucky Harbor Boyfriend #1 spot so close.

I also think I fell in love with Mallory I've liked all the Lucky Harbor girls but she's so far my fave. Maybe I relate to her the most but I just really had such a great time with this book. I can't wait to see how the other Chocoholics end up!
