Even if you're familiar with the story through cultural osmosis, The Picture of Dorian Gray is still well worth the read if you enjoy classics. The writing is hauntingly beautiful and draws you into the story immediately. Watching Dorian's self destruction, especially as he continued to deny the hand he had in his own demise, was absolutely addictive.
